Women’s Counseling and Therapy in Florida
Women often carry multiple roles and expectations—partner, parent, student, professional —and it can feel overwhelming to hold it all together. Women’s counseling offers a supportive, confidential space to explore the unique challenges and transitions that arise across different stages of life.
Whether you are looking to find new ways to manage the stress and anxiety of every day life, build self-esteem and positive body image or embrace a recent change in your life, you do not have to face these concerns alone.
Together, we’ll work to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and support you in creating a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and aligned with your values.
Being a young adult can be an especially stressful and anxiety-filled time in one’s life. At Empowered Wellness, college students and young women can talk through the pressures of choosing the right career path and figuring out who they are or want to be as a person. Together, we will identify healthy ways of managing stress and anxiety, explore how past experiences and core beliefs can impact our thoughts, emotions and behaviors as well as maintain healthy interpersonal relationships.
Women will be met with compassionate support as they cope with toxic or strained relationships, heal from past trauma or grief and loss, and learn how to set healthy boundaries. Professional women who are looking to manage their work-related stress will be given the tools to implement a self-care routine and live a more well-balanced life. Women with low self-esteem will learn how to identify and change their negative thinking patterns and cultivate lasting self-compassion for themselves.
A safe space will be held for women struggling with infertility and/or pregnancy loss. New moms dealing with postpartum depression or anxiety will feel heard and understood as well as explore how to best navigate the demands of motherhood and this new phase of life.
What is Perinatal Therapy?
Perinatal therapy offers specialized emotional and psychological support to individuals navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood, recognizing that this period can bring both profound joy and unexpected challenges. It provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore concerns such as anxiety, depression, identity shifts, relationship changes, and the pressures of caring for a new life. Through compassionate guidance and evidence-based approaches, perinatal therapy helps clients build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and foster a deeper connection with themselves and their families. By addressing mental health during this critical transition, it promotes not only the well-being of the parent but also the healthy development of the child.
