I want to ensure that my services are accessible to as many individuals in the Central Florida community as possible. Therefore, discounted counseling rates may be offered to college students or those in financial need on an individual basis. Please ask about sliding scale and student rates during the initial consultation.

  • I currently accept the following insurance plans:

    Aetna

    Cigna

    United Healthcare

For insurance purposes, I utilize a billing system called Headway so I can place all of my focus on our work together. The Headway team will reach out via email to help you set up your account and add your insurance and payment details to make things as easy as possible for the both of us.

  • If your insurance is not listed above, I would be considered an out-of-network provider. Upon request, I can provide an appointment receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement based on your specific benefits.

I would recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine the possibility of reimbursement for out of network coverage:

    • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

    • Does my health plan cover out-of-network providers?

    • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

    • Is there a maximum number of therapy sessions allowed under my current health plan?

    • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

  • I accept all major credit cards, cash, checks, and health savings account (HSA). A credit card is required to be kept on file for no-show and late cancellations.

  • First and foremost, the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client is the most important part of therapy. Therapy is not a one-size fits all, and it is essential to find a therapist who you feel comfortable with and can trust. I have found that my most successful clients are the ones who are not only open to change but that have a strong sense of the therapeutic relationship. My role as a therapist is to support and guide my clients so that they feel empowered to make positive changes in their life.

During the very first session we will go over the basic paperwork including the consent for services and limitations of confidentiality. It may be helpful to come prepared to the first session with any lingering questions or reservations you have about the therapy process. Together, we will discuss your individual concerns and set goals so that you or your loved one is fully involved throughout the process.

Each individual session is 50 minutes in length. If needed, family sessions can be arranged for an additional fee. Therapy sessions are usually scheduled for once a week, however, depending on the individual client’s needs, sessions may be scheduled less frequently especially once rapport is established and symptoms, stressors or concerns have decreased.

  • As a mom I try to be as understanding and flexible as possible when clients need to cancel or reschedule as I understand life and illness happens. However, as a business owner I also have to set boundaries around my time. Therefore I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Failure to give 24 hours notice will result in being billed the full cost of your session as stated in my intake paperwork.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients/clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a good faith estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a good faith estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical services or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a good faith estimate before you schedule an item or service.
