Amanda Vargo, LMHC, QS

Coming from a divorced family, I found myself being drawn to the counseling profession so that I could help others, specifically adolescents and young adults gain the tools to cope with change, stress and difficult emotions that I did not have growing up. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) and then went on to complete my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University of South Florida.

My first counseling position was at a school for adolescent girls who were struggling behaviorally and academically because of past trauma, abuse, and ongoing family conflict. It was there that my passion for working with teens and women truly came alive. Before starting my private practice, I also worked in both residential and outpatient settings providing individual, family, and group counseling to children, teens, and adults.

In 2017, I started my own private practice here in Oviedo, Florida. I knew I wanted to incorporate my love for yoga into my business and decided to complete my 200 hours of yoga teacher training. Since then I have also completed my 85 hours of prenatal yoga teacher training. Most recently, I became a Qualified Supervisor to expand my practice by helping mental health counselor interns on their way to becoming a licensed therapist.

After struggling to grow our family and a PCOS diagnosis, I found a new passion in helping women with fertility struggles of their own as well as maternal mental health. Since having our miracle in 2021, I have taken extensive trainings in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International, Perinatal Loss and Grief as well as Healing Perinatal Trauma.
